💬 1. Discussion Settings (Controlling Comments & Spam)

Navigate to Settings → Discussion. This area controls how public users interact with your blog posts and pages. To keep your brand safe from spam bots, configure these critical checkmarks:

• Default post settings: If your website is purely a business brochure or an e-commerce store, you may uncheck “Allow people to submit comments on new posts” to disable comment sections globally.
• Other comment settings: Always check the box for “Comment author must fill out name and email”. This acts as a basic filter to stop anonymous spam.
• Before a comment appears: For maximum security, check “Comment must be manually approved”. This ensures no random text or malicious links show up on your live site without your consent.

Navigate to Settings → Media. This panel dictates how WordPress automatically crops and sizes images when you upload them to your Media Library:

• Pre-configured Sizing: Website Buildy automatically sets standardized thumbnail, medium, and large dimensions behind the scenes. This ensures your layouts remain perfectly responsive across mobile screens, tablets, and desktops.
• Organizing Uploads: Keep the checkbox “Organize my uploads into month and year-based folders” active. This maintains a clean server infrastructure, making your media assets easy to track.
