Integration Guide: Jetpack by Automattic & Recommended Module Setup

Jetpack by Automattic Integration & Recommended Module Guide

Optimize your Jetpack module settings for seamless mobile app syncing and maximum performance.

📱 Mobile Store Management with Full Hosting Freedom

While many managed hosts ban or heavily restrict Jetpack, Website Buildy fully allows Jetpack on our infrastructure. Connecting Jetpack unlocks mobile management capabilities—allowing you to use the official Jetpack and WooCommerce mobile apps on iOS and Android to receive real-time push notifications for sales, fulfill orders, track analytics, and manage store inventory on the go.

To keep your website loading at maximum speed and eliminate redundant processing against Website Buildy’s built-in server engines, follow our recommended module setup below.

👉 For our full blog overview, read the official guide: What is Jetpack? How Website Buildy Optimizes It for Your App.

⚙️ Recommended Module-by-Module Configuration

Configure your Jetpack settings according to this optimized feature guide:

🛡️ Security

• Downtime Monitoring (Must Use): Keep this enabled. It alerts you instantly via push notification or email if external network issues affect your store.

🚀 Performance

• Performance & Speed (Image Only): Enable image performance features to smoothly offload image delivery bandwidth. Disable video hosting or asset CDN features that overlap with our native server setups.

✍️ Writing

• None: Disable all modules in this category. Keeping writing extras turned off reduces database queries and prevents backend clutter.

📲 Sharing

• Jetpack Social (Post Automation): Enable this tool to automatically publish your new store updates and blog posts directly to your connected social media channels.

💬 Discussion & Anti-Spam

• None: Disable Jetpack Comment and Anti-Spam features. Website Buildy’s native server-level anti-spam engine is incompatible with Jetpack Anti-Spam and will cause system conflicts if run simultaneously.

📊 Traffic

• Related Posts: Enable this module to display contextually relevant product and blog suggestions at the bottom of your posts, increasing customer engagement.

📖 Reader

• Reader Visibility: Enable this setting to ensure your site updates sync properly with the WordPress.com Reader ecosystem and mobile management apps.

💳 Monetization

• None: Leave this disabled. Jetpack Monetization features require paid upgrades that are redundant for stores using standard WooCommerce gateways (like GCash, Maya, or Credit Cards).

⚠️ Why Should You Disable Jetpack Firewall & Brute-Force Features? Website Buildy provides custom Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Layer 3+4 DDoS filtering directly at the server level. Running Jetpack’s firewall on top of our server security creates double-filtering overhead that slows down database queries without providing extra safety.

💡 Need Assistance Syncing Mobile Apps? If you encounter connection issues while linking your WooCommerce Mobile App or Jetpack account, open a request via our Support Ticket System or manage your site status via your Dashboard.
